The idea to get involved in this race was to promote sport & empowerment for women in the town of Khouribga, Morocco. "The race was very successful because we had 250 women came to the race and 100 girls as well. All finished the race in very healthy condition! Despite many partaking in their first ever sporting event.

"Among the officials that were present was the governor of the city and his staff. 50 prizes were distributed among the runners. We had prizes for all the age group as well to encourage the women to have the chance to win something . There was a large crowd of participants and spectators at the event .
