Caroline Buliro

My names are Lorna Caroline Buliro. I am 26 years with a high moral integrity. I was born and brought up in Esiamarwi Village, part of Western in Vihiga District. As of now, I am a part time teacher at Salvation Army where we deal with adult education. I am taking English, Kiswahili, and Science; a post that I attained after graduating with a certificate in Early Childhood Development from Imara Teachers College and attaining a C at Eregi Secondary School.

While still at Eregi High School I used to play soccer, whereby during the school competition in 1997 we clinched the title after trashing Liranda Girls School three goals to one. In the college I was in charge of games. Soccer was like one of the ribs in my body.

Despite the fact that I have played soccer almost all my life, I have faced different challenges here and there. One of my great challenges is that I have never played in the country premier league. The reason being that my home team has never reached there, the fact being that the support and a sponsor who could have taken our team to greater heights.

Ever since I was a young girl, I have admired to play in bigger European leagues. This was ignited when I watched boys World Cup 1990 where African legend Roger Milla precipitated his team to the quarter finals of the competition. I believe that by playing in the world big leagues will enable me to improve my skills both in games and education, not forgetting financial status. Thus, I will be able to promote small and upcoming football teams in my neighborhood and throughout the country. Hence, uplift the standards of football in Kenya.
